Aljamain Sterling vs Kevin Dantzler Headline at Fury Pro Grappling 8

Aljamain Sterling will face Kevin Dantzler in a grappling match at Fury Pro Grappling 8 on December 30, which will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass.

Aljamain Sterling is set to compete again before the year’s end. However, it’s not going to be in a usual fight, but rather a grappling match.

On Tuesday, promotional officials made an announcement. Sterling is scheduled to go head-to-head with Kevin Dantzler in the main event of Fury Pro Grappling 8. The event is set to take place on December 30 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. And guess what? You can catch it all on UFC Fight Pass.

Sterling, also known as the “Funk Master,” is no stranger to grappling. This will be his second grappling bout since he lost the UFC bantamweight title to Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 in August. His most recent victory? A unanimous decision win over UFC veteran Mike Grundy in a grappling match at Polaris 25 in September. Sterling is looking to get some payback in his upcoming match.

Now, let’s talk about Dantzler. He’s got a 5-0 record competing for Fury Pro Grappling. This includes a decision win over Sterling’s longtime teammate Merab Dvalishvili in October 2021. Impressive, right?

But wait, there’s more! Other past and present UFC competitors are also slated to compete on the card. Alexandr Romanov is set to face Chris Daukaus, while Eryk Anders will go up against current CFFC middleweight champ Kyle Daukaus. Pat Sabatini is ready to battle Niko Price, and Charlie Campbell is gearing up to square off with Lee Moringo. It’s gonna be a wild ride!
