Antonio Trocoli Withdraws, Oumar Sy to Face Tuco Tokkos at UFC Vegas 92

Oumar Sy will make his UFC debut against newcomer Tuko Tokkos at UFC Vegas 92, after Antonio Trocoli withdrew for undisclosed reasons.

Oumar Sy’s stepping into the UFC ring for the first time this Saturday. But, plot twist, he’s up against a fellow newbie.

Word came down from the UFC on Tuesday. Sy’s squaring off with Tuko Tokkos, a Road to UFC alum, at UFC Vegas 92. The venue? The UFC APEX. Tokkos is stepping in last minute, replacing Antonio Trocoli, who’s out for reasons we’re not privy to. Al Zullino was the first to spill the beans on Twitter.

Sy’s got a flawless record he’s keen to keep. It’s been almost a year since he last stepped into the cage. He’s a three-time KSW veteran, and his first two opponents? They backed out. Sy’s got his sights set on riding the wave of his first-round KOF 1 win from last June.

Tukkos? He’s had a bit of a comeback. After a loss to Minyang Zhang on Road to UFC in June 2022, he’s chalked up three wins in a row. His latest victory? A 89-second stoppage win for Fury FC. That followed a 40-second finish six months earlier for the All In Combat promotion. Not too shabby, huh?

And the main event at UFC Vegas 92? That’d be a featherweight bout between Edson Barboza and Lerone Murphy. Should be a good one.
