Arman Tsarukyan’s next fight has been confirmed, though it may not be with a fighter most fans would have expected. It has been reported that Tsarukyan is set to face Joaquim Silva at the UFC Fight Night event on June 17, which is anticipated to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. ESPN was the first to reveal the matchup.
Initially, Tsarukyan was scheduled to headline UFC Vegas 72 in April, but his opponent, Renato Moicano, was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Tsarukyan, who is the No. 10 ranked lightweight in MMA Fighting’s Global Rankings, managed to bounce back from a decision loss to Mateusz Gamrot with a victory over Damir Ismagulov at UFC Vegas 66 this past December.
On the other hand, Silva recently made his return to the octagon after almost 16 months on the sidelines, securing a jumping knee finish of Jesse Ronson at UFC Vegas 61 this past October. This win effectively ended his two-fight losing streak. The UFC event taking place on June 17 will be headlined by a middleweight bout featuring Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier.
