Conor McGregor Announces Fourth Child’s Name

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor announced the birth of his fourth child, Mack McGregor, and is tentatively planning a UFC return bout against Michael Chandler in summer 2024.

Conor McGregor is making sure his lineage continues. He’s ensuring the McGregor clan thrives in the future.

The ex-UFC two-division champ just announced the birth of his fourth child. And it’s his third son! This happened just last week.

On Monday, he let the world know the name of his new little one: Mack McGregor. Cute, right?

Mack is now part of a lively bunch. He’s joining siblings Conor Jr., Croia, and Rian. McGregor and his long-time partner and fiancée, Dee Devlin, are at the helm of this growing family.

McGregor, now 35, has been kind of linked to a UFC comeback against Michael Chandler. This comes after coaching against the American on The Ultimate Fighter 31 in early 2023.

In a chat with reporters in late October, McGregor hinted that UFC was eyeing April 2024 for his return. He wasn’t too happy about his long layoff since his July 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. But there’s a twist. John Kavanagh, McGregor’s SBG Ireland coach, recently spilled to MMA Fighting that the promotion has pushed McGregor’s return again. They’re now looking at a “summertime” bout.

McGregor officially jumped back into the UFC’s drug-testing pool with USADA on Oct. 8. So, according to USADA rules, he’ll be good to compete again on April 8, 2024. He submitted his first drug tests after his long-awaited reentry into the program in late October.

Since his 2016 win over Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight title, McGregor has only fought in MMA four times. He managed to squeeze in a win over Donald Cerrone between a title loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and two consecutive stoppage losses to Poirier.
