Danny Sabatello Confident in Victory Over Raufeon Stots, Aims to Dominate Marcos Breno at Bellator 294

Danny Sabatello is looking to get back in the win column against Marcos Breno at Bellator 294, despite still feeling bitter about his loss against Raufeon Stots at Bellator 289, claiming that he won that fight.

Danny Sabatello may have come up short on two of the judges’ scorecards in his Bellator bantamweight grand prix semifinals matchup against interim champ Raufeon Stots at Bellator 289 in December, but he still feels as if he won the fight. Now, Sabatello looks forward to getting back in the win column when he takes on Marcos Breno at Bellator 294 in Hawaii this Friday.

The outspoken Sabatello has had to push aside the sting of his last result as he prepares for his upcoming bout. “I f****** hate him even more now,” Sabatello said of Stots. “I just feel like he absolutely stole my moment from me. It was a massive fight… But the fact of the matter is, I won that f****** fight.” Sabatello remains frustrated with Stots, who continued trash-talking after the fight. He vows to take revenge: “However long my career is, the story isn’t over until I beat the shit out of Raufeon Stots and get my revenge.”

The loss to Stots was Sabatello’s first in Bellator, snapping an overall seven-fight win streak. Now, he’ll face 25-year-old up-and-comer Breno, who impressed in his Bellator debut, earning a unanimous decision over Josh Hill at Bellator 284 this past August. Despite recognizing some dangerous weapons that Breno brings, Sabatello is determined to come out victorious in their upcoming bout. “He’s not in the rankings, but he does have a good record… But yeah, this should be a guy that I should absolutely tune up. I should beat the f*** out of this guy,” Sabatello asserts.
