Edson Barboza Thinks Ferguson’s Creativity Can Solve the Khabib Puzzle

If there is one man who can attest to the challenges that both Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov possess that is Edson Barboza.

Edson Barboza has fought the best fighters in the world in his 14-year UFC career. Those include the two men that will headline UFC 249 in April, Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Although falling short against both opponents, Barboza believes that the two men both bring unique skills to the table.

“Some things Tony Ferguson is better and than other things Khabib is better.”

“It’s going to be a great fight. I’m very excited for this one. Sometimes I think about the fight and think it’s a good fight for Khabib. But then Ferguson is hard to fight. His style is different from everyone.”

Barboza was also asked who has the slight advantage.

“I think Ferguson. He is a little bit better striker and creative. Everyone knows what Khabib does but no one can stop him. Khabib has great ground power and a bit stronger.”

Barboza also spoke to Helen Yee about what’s next in his career and his move to featherweight. He is yet to be scheduled for his featherweight debut.
