The scorecards? A clean sweep for O’Malley – 50-45, 50-45, and 50-44. His first title defense? Check. That TKO loss to Vera in 2020, a result of an ankle injury, was the only blot on his pro MMA career. Now, it’s wiped clean.
Vera did manage to land a body shot on O’Malley towards the end of the fight. It seemed to hurt the champ. But, let’s be real. The fight was pretty much one-sided for the most part. O’Malley outclassed Vera for a good 25 minutes.
