Israel Adesanya Adds Self-Titled New Zealand Subdivision to $20M Portfolio: Report

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has built a substantial real estate portfolio in New Zealand, valued at over $20 million, with his latest addition being a build-to-rent subdivision named after him.

Israel Adesanya? Yeah, he’s still on a break from fighting. But, don’t think he’s just sitting idle.

According to Stuff, a news outlet, he’s been playing the real estate game. And he’s doing pretty well.

He’s got a whole portfolio of properties in New Zealand. The latest? A build-to-rent subdivision in Palmerston North, on North Island. They’ve even named the place after him. It’s called “Adesanya Close.”

Wade Thompson, a property manager, spilled the beans to Stuff. The listing for Adesanya Close? It got 3000 views last December. Three out of seven units? Sold.

And the value of Adesanya’s real estate investments? Property records suggest it’s over $20 million. Yeah, you read that right.

Adesanya’s business acumen isn’t exactly news. If you’ve been following the UFC superstar, you’d know. His manager even said he signed “one of the most lucrative multi-fight deals in company history” in February 2022. This makes him one of the highest-paid athletes in MMA history.

Thompson also mentioned that Adesanya probably owns more than 19 properties. They’re scattered all over, from Auckland to Dunedin.

But that’s not all. Adesanya is a man of many talents. He signed a deal with Puma in 2020. He promoted a documentary about his life, called Stylebender. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last June.

He’s taking a break from competition after losing a title fight to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 last September. But, he’s hinted in interviews that he might return sooner than expected. So, stay tuned.
