Johnny Walker Questions Brother Valter’s UFC Vegas 90 Loss Judging

Johnny Walker expressed his disagreement on social media over the unanimous decision that led to his brother Valter Walker’s loss in his UFC debut against Lukasz Brzeski.

Johnny Walker’s got family on his mind. His brother, Valter Walker, made his UFC debut this past Saturday.

It was a heavyweight preliminary bout at UFC Vegas 90. Valter was up against Lukasz Brzeski, a fighter who hadn’t seen a win in his last three promotional appearances.

The fight took place at the UFC APEX. Brzeski managed to secure a unanimous decision victory. He won the third round on all three judges’ scorecards.

Valter showed impressive grappling control throughout the match. However, it didn’t translate into significant striking stats. Those were in Brzeski’s favor.

Johnny Walker, who was in his brother’s corner, wasn’t too happy about the decision. He took to social media to vent his frustration.

“How do they score this fight?” he tweeted. “I didn’t understand, how much points for punch and how much for take down and control? How much for submission attempt?”

He didn’t stop there. “Some can score this fight?” he continued. “I think Valter should have won.”

He even questioned the scoring system. “Submission attempt, take down, floor control? How much it worth? I think Valter won,” he wrote.

Johnny Walker, a charismatic UFC light heavyweight contender, wasn’t alone in his opinion. Seven out of 12 media members also scored the bout 29-28 in Valter’s favor, according to MMA Decisions.

Valter, just 26, entered his UFC debut with an impressive 11-0 record. This bout marked his first career loss.
