Kingpyn Boxing’s Daniella Hemsley Apologizes for Incident, Takes Break from Boxing

Kingpyn Boxing has announced that fighter Daniella Hemsley will not be competing in their upcoming events due to her inappropriate celebration of flashing the camera after her victory, a disruptive action that received significant criticism.

Kingpyn Boxing has chosen to take a firm stand against Daniella Hemsley following a recent incident. Hemsley had fought in a Kingpyn event in Dublin this past Saturday, where she earned an intense victory over Ms. Danielka. However, it was her post-fight celebration that garnered the most attention as she celebrated her victory by flashing the camera. This act received a significant amount of attention and criticism, particularly from boxing promoter Eddie Hearn who stated the incident was harmful to the integrity of the sport and a reflection of the negative impact of influencers in modern society.

In response, Kingpyn Boxing seems to agree with Hearn’s sentiments and issued a statement on Wednesday to apologize for the incident. They also stated that Hemsley will not be competing in their forthcoming event nor in any foreseeable future events. The promotional company stated, “As we strive to bring fans the best influencer boxing events possible, we accept that Saturday’s post fight incident may have offended some viewers and appreciate that this incident didn’t meet the standards expected from Kingpyn fight nights.” Kingpyn further promised its complete commitment to hold the greatest night of influencer boxing and showcase the very best of the sport.

This incident is not the first of its kind. Tai Emery famously also celebrated a victory by removing her shirt in front of the cameras after her first win in BKFC in 2022, which landed her in trouble with the promotion. However, unlike Hemsley, Emery was still allowed to compete in subsequent BKFC events a few months later. Kingpyn’s decision to not let Hemsley compete in an upcoming boxing event or any in the foreseeable future marks a contrast to BKFC’s handling of a similar incident.
