Logan Paul Claims Nate Diaz Fight Possible, Suggests He’s Avoiding Showdown

Logan Paul claims Nate Diaz is backing off from a potential boxing match, despite a lucrative offer on the table.

Logan Paul revealed in an interview that a big money fight with former UFC fighter Nate Diaz seemed to be on the goal line, but things may have changed. According to Paul, Diaz’s side has backed off a bit, even though he had offered Diaz a sweet deal, guaranteeing 750,000 to a million pay-per-view buys. Despite being an 0-1 YouTuber, Paul claims the fight with Diaz would be an easy one on paper.

The 27-year-old Paul has been aiming to return to the boxing ring for quite some time after going to a draw in an exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather over two years ago in February 2021. While the door for a fight with Diaz isn’t entirely closed, Paul admits he is unsure why the Diaz camp hasn’t committed to the match yet. He asserts they have upped the ante in terms of pay, but says, “I don’t even care anymore. I thought I had something locked in, but apparently he said the fight was off.”

Paul wonders if Diaz intends to fight someone else for a potentially easier match or lower pay-per-view sales. Despite the back-and-forth and hesitation, Paul maintains respect for Diaz as a competitor, stating, “I think he’s great, I think it would be a great fight. People would want to see that fight. He’s tough as hell, obviously an MMA legend, can move the needle. I’m just hyper ambitious, a little delusional, and can kind of box.” He remains hopeful and eager to see how the potential fight would play out in the future.
