Mike Perry Predicts Potential Bare-Knuckle Fight with Conor McGregor

After his upcoming fight at UFC 303, Conor McGregor will have only one bout left on his contract, and there is speculation about a potential bare-knuckle fight with Mike Perry.

Conor McGregor’s UFC 303 fight with Michael Chandler is a big deal. Why? It leaves him with just one fight left on his contract.

Before signing his latest bout agreement, McGregor made it clear. His current UFC deal only had two fights left. One of these is the Chandler fight on June 29.

McGregor is a big deal in UFC history. The idea of him slipping away seems unlikely. But, he’s always wanted to test himself in other areas. This includes a potential return to boxing. He’s also shown interest in bare-knuckle competition.

McGregor attended a BKFC show last year. He said he wanted to try bare-knuckle fighting at least once. This was music to Mike Perry’s ears. Perry had just won a fight against ex-UFC champ Luke Rockhold and invited McGregor for a faceoff.

A year later, Perry isn’t holding his breath for that fight. But he knows anything is possible. Especially considering the control McGregor has over his career.

Perry thinks a fight with McGregor could happen. He told MMA Fighting, “When my manager shared it and [he was like], ‘This will happen,’ I was like, whoa, that’s cool.”

McGregor is a great boxer. He fought Floyd Mayweather. He watched Perry’s fight with Luke Rockhold and showed respect. Perry thinks a fight with him would be fun and incredible.

But Perry knows what comes with a McGregor fight. It’s an invitation to some of the most vicious trash talk in the sport. McGregor is known for his mind games. He’s crossed lines to engage in mental warfare with his opponents.

Perry admits he can’t match McGregor’s verbal skills. But he doubts McGregor could match his punches. He said, “Maybe he would rip me apart with the words. I’d be there for it! Let’s go! I’d learn a thing or two for sure, and I’d try to teach him a thing or two in the ring when it came to fighting.”

Perry believes a fight with McGregor could be a dream fight. He plans to keep winning and scaring opponents.

Perry has become the face of BKFC. He’s called out high-profile opponents, hoping for bigger fights. Some have accepted the challenge. But Perry thinks his brutal performances may have scared some away. This includes Darren Till, who Perry claims turned down a $2 million offer to fight him.

Perry’s next fight is against UFC veteran Thiago Alves. He’s confident that if the money is right, McGregor would fight him. He said, “Darren Till’s going to keep being scared. If Thiago shows up, what I do to him might scare some others and it might bring up some real ones. Conor’s a real one. He might see the challenge there and really be interested.”
