Nate Diaz Abandons Final Tour Stop, Tells Opponent to Square Off Alone

Nate Diaz abruptly ended a press conference tour, expressing frustration with Jorge Masvidal’s behavior, with Masvidal responding by telling Diaz to just show up to their scheduled fight.

Nate Diaz had had it. Friday night marked the end of his grueling cross-country press conference tour.

Questions were flying left and right. Each fighter and their teams were under the spotlight. But Diaz? He’d had enough.

Jorge Masvidal was getting under his skin. The guy was challenging fans to fights, for crying out loud. Diaz decided to call it a night.

“Man, this tour was a trip,” he said. “All over the damn country, dealing with all this crap. I’m done. I’ve had it up to here with all the trash talk. I’ve got a team to represent, y’know? This isn’t my scene. Never was.”

He continued, “Screw this guy and his team. I’m out. I gotta bounce. You can square off with yourself, pal.”

Masvidal’s response? Simple. “Just show up to the fight. That’s all I ask. Just show up, man.”

The final stop of this press tour? It lasted a mere 18 minutes.

As for the fight, it’s set. Masvidal and Diaz are squaring off. Pay-per-view. June 1. Los Angeles. Be there.
