Nate Diaz & Jorge Masvidal Scheduled for June 1 PPV Boxing Match

UFC veterans Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set to rematch in a 10-round pay-per-view boxing match on June 1 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, with the bout being Masvidal’s second professional boxing bout and Diaz’s second in-ring appearance.

Well, well, well. Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are at it again. They’re gearing up for a rematch.

This ain’t your regular UFC fight, though. It’s a 10-round boxing match, set for pay-per-view. Mark your calendars for June 1, folks. The showdown’s happening at the Kia Forum in LA.

Who spilled the beans? Ariel Helwani, that’s who. He dropped the news on The MMA Hour on Wednesday. The fight’s gonna be a 175-pounder.

This ain’t Masvidal’s first rodeo in the boxing ring. He’s got a win under his belt from 2005 against Joseph Benjamin. Diaz? He stepped into the ring for the first time in August 2023. Didn’t go so well, though. Lost to Jake Paul.

The fight’s gonna cost ya. Fanmio’s carrying it on pay-per-view for $79.99. But, hey, you can snag it for $49.99 if you’re quick. That deal’s good until April 12.

Who’s presenting this thing? Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. and Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing Promotions. These two have history, y’know. They fought back in November 2019 at UFC 244. Masvidal took home the inaugural BMF belt after a third-round TKO.

Masvidal’s got some words for Diaz. “Nate’s a dead man walking,” he said. He’s eager to prove the last fight wasn’t a fluke. He’s convinced the ref saved Diaz last time. Now, it’s boxing time. Masvidal’s ready to “drown” Diaz and put an end to any talk of them being on the same level.

Diaz’s got a 21-13 MMA record. He left the UFC on a high note, beating Tony Ferguson in 2022. He’s been in the game for 15 years and has become a global superstar. He’s taken down some big names like Conor McGregor, Anthony Pettis, and Jim Miller.

Masvidal’s no slouch either. He’s got a 35-17 MMA record. He’s challenged for the UFC welterweight title twice. He’s got the fastest knockout in UFC history. He retired in April after a loss to Gilbert Burns. But now, he’s back and ready to take on his old rival.
