Pros React to Shara Magomedov’s UFC Saudi Knockout, Bo Nickal Calls Out

Shara Magomedov overcame early struggles and an exhausted Antonio Trocoli to secure a knockout victory in the third round at UFC Saudi Arabia, improving his record to 13-0.

Shara Magomedov, a massive favorite on the UFC Saudi Arabia main card, faced some struggles. However, he capitalized on an utterly exhausted Antonio Trocoli in the third round to secure a knockout.

“Bullet” improved to 2-0 inside the octagon and 13-0 overall as a pro with this victory. Trocoli stepped in on just three days’ notice after Joilton Lutterbach withdrew due to a flagged drug test. Lutterbach admitted to taking banned substances a day later.

Trocoli used his grappling skills to slow Magomedov down during the first two rounds. Despite Magomedov’s blatant fence grab—one of the worst ever seen in a UFC bout—referee Marc Goddard only issued a stern warning before the third round began.

Once the third round started, Trocoli was so exhausted that he became an easy target for Magomedov’s striking prowess. The outcome seemed inevitable.

Check out how UFC athletes reacted to Magomedov’s victory. Bo Nickal even issued a challenge.

Aiemann Zahabi tweeted, “Shara bullet gets it done. Tough test for him but he found a way to win! #ufc.”

Aljamain Sterling had his thoughts: “Fight changing TD gets no honor in this scrap. These refs really play a crucial role in the octagon. Now Trocoli gets finished lol. Crazy game. #UFCSaudiArabia.”

Belal Muhammad simply stated, “Shara and michel next.”

Sterling added another tweet: “Possibly could’ve been a completely different result. But now we’ll never know due to the ref letting that crucial moment slide. Either way, nasty finishing sequence from Shara.”

Chris Curtis wasn’t impressed: “I don’t get the Shara Bullet hype.”

What a night of fights!
