Renato Moicano vs Drew Dober UFC Event Scheduled for Feb 3

Lightweights Renato Moicano and Drew Dober are scheduled to fight at the UFC Fight Night event on Feb. 3 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, following confirmation of the matchup after Moicano’s original opponent, Jalin Turner, accepted a different fight.

Renato Moicano and Drew Dober are gearing up for a showdown. The lightweight fighters are scheduled to clash at the UFC Fight Night event on Feb. 3 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

This news was confirmed by multiple insiders. They spilled the beans to MMA Fighting on Saturday, following Moicano’s initial reveal on his YouTube channel.

Moicano was supposed to fight Jalin Turner on the same card. But that plan got scrapped, and here’s why. Turner took up a short-notice fight against Bobby Green.

Turner emerged victorious, knocking out Green. But the UFC didn’t sit idle. They went ahead and found Moicano a new opponent.

Moicano hasn’t stepped into the ring since 2022. His last appearance saw him score a submission win over Brad Riddell. A knee injury has kept him on the sidelines for over a year. But now, he’s all set to make a comeback in early 2024.

Now, let’s talk about Dober. The always thrilling lightweight has his eyes set on his next victory. His last outing saw him deliver a first-round knockout against Ricky Glenn, earning him the Performance of the Night.

This victory brought Dober’s record to 4-1 over his past five fights. His only loss during this period was against Matt Frevola in May.

Moicano vs. Dober is a significant addition to the UFC Fight Night card on Feb. 3. The event will be headlined by a middleweight face-off between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov.
