Former UFC champion Sean Strickland brandished a handgun at pranksters who tried to “ding-dong ditch” his house, as seen in security footage he posted on Instagram.
Well, some kids sure picked the wrong house to mess with. Ex-UFC champ Sean Strickland wasn’t having it. He shared a security video from his place, where he’s seen greeting the pranksters with a handgun in hand.
He posted the video on Instagram on Wednesday. The caption? A rundown of the incident. Looks like some local kids were playing “ding-dong ditch.” You know the game, right? Ring a doorbell, knock on a door, then run off before anyone can answer.
Strickland’s post read, “It’s 1 a.m. and I get a ring alert.” A car pulls up. Some guys jump out and head to the side of his house. “In the process of covering my white ass I hear a bang,” he added.
His next line? “You guys have a car, it’s Friday a night why aren’t you out trying to get P? Kids these days. All the wrong priorities.”
The video shows it all. A car pulls up outside Strickland’s home. One person covers their face, approaches the door, and knocks—loudly. Then they run off.
Next thing you know, Strickland’s outside. He’s in a bathrobe, handgun in hand, casually strolling to his front porch.
No one was hurt, thankfully. But Strickland’s message was clear. He posted the footage as a warning to anyone else crazy enough to approach his house.
“Didn’t see the doorbell alert till after,” he said. “Just so you all know! I get crazy stuff sent to my house.”
Strickland’s no stranger to weird stuff happening outside his home. He’s had to carry a firearm before.
Remember when he confronted a man outside his home? The guy was allegedly running from the cops after a domestic violence incident. Strickland held him at gunpoint until the police got there to arrest him.
