Sean Strickland Submits Fan in Snowy Scrap

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has made headlines again for an outside-of-the-cage altercation, this time grappling with a fan in a snowy mountain setting, which he shared on social media.

Sean Strickland isn’t one to sit idle. He’s always up to something, even between his fight bookings. You might’ve heard of him. He’s one of those MMA fighters who’s always in the news, whether he’s in the octagon or not.

Remember him? The former UFC middleweight champion? Yeah, that’s him. He’s made headlines again. This time, it’s not for a fight in the cage, but for a scuffle outside of it.

So, what happened? Well, Strickland posted a video on social media. It was Thursday, and he was grappling with a fan. The backdrop? A snowy mountain. The outcome? He tapped the fan out.

You can check out the clip below.

Strickland seemed to enjoy the whole thing. He captioned the video, “Always a good time on the mountain. Y’all need to stop challenging me.”

The contest seemed friendly enough. Strickland initially brushed off the challenge, then got into a grappling match with the fan. It seemed playful, but both of them appeared to take it semi-seriously. The fan finally tapped out to a Strickland choke.

Strickland wasn’t too hard on the fan, though. He even complimented him after, saying he made a “nice sit-out attempt.”

This isn’t the first time Strickland’s been in the news for something like this. He’s had a few viral videos where he’s butted heads with non-fighters. A couple of weeks ago, he beat YouTuber Sneako in a sparring match. He even said he’d be open to a fight with Bryce Hall, the influencer boxer who challenged him.

Then there was that incident with Machine Gun Kelly. Strickland reportedly got into a verbal altercation with the rapper at a Power Slap event in Las Vegas.

As for his next official fight? Strickland’s still waiting to hear. His last fight was a bit of a letdown. He lost the middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis in a close split decision at UFC 297 in January.
