Hey, guess what? The Nevada Athletic Commission has finally assigned the referees and judges for the two title fights at UFC 296. It’s about time, huh?

So, in the main event, Leon Edwards is defending his welterweight title against Colby Covington. And guess who’s the third man in the octagon? Yep, it’s Herb Dean. Again. This isn’t the first time he’s refereed a fight for Edwards. Remember when Edwards defended his belt against Kamaru Usman back in March in England? Dean was there too.

Now, let’s talk about the judges for the UFC 296 main event. We’ve got Sal D’amato, Derek Cleary, and Chris Lee. They’ll be the ones scoring the fight.

Then there’s the co-main event. It’s a rematch between Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval. The UFC flyweight title is up for grabs. And the referee for this matchup? Marc Goddard.

The judges for this fight are Ron McCarthy, Junichiro Kamijo, and Eric Colon.

As for the rest of the referee and judges assignments for UFC 296, they’ll be handed out on fight night. That’s this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 296 is going to cap off the year for the promotion. The main card is kicking off on ESPN+ pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. And the prelims? They’re set to begin at 6 p.m. ET from the same place – T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. So, get ready for some action!
