Well, folks, it’s finally settled. The UFC 300 headliner sweepstakes have come to an end. And the victors? None other than Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill.
UFC’s big boss, Dana White, put an end to the suspense. After months of whispers, wild guesses, and even betting odds popping up, he finally spilled the beans. The main event for the April 13 pay-per-view is set. And where’s it all going down? The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, no less.

Pereira’s got a big task ahead. He’s defending the light heavyweight title for the first time since he snagged it last November at UFC 295. And who’s he facing? Hill, who’s never lost the vacant title he won at the start of 2023.
Hill’s journey to this point wasn’t easy. He clinched the light heavyweight title at UFC 283, dominating Glover Teixeira. But then, disaster struck. An Achilles heel injury forced him to give up the title. He could only watch as Pereira and ex-champ Jiri Prochazka – who also had to give up the belt due to injury – battled it out for the vacant belt at UFC 295.
Earlier this week, White was teasing an announcement for the UFC 300 event. But instead of waiting for the post-fight press conference, he went solo. He shot his own promo and made the fight official. The one everyone’s been waiting for.
