UFC 300: Jim Miller Discloses Injuries Including 23 Stitches for Severe Cut

After suffering multiple injuries in his UFC 300 fight with Bobby Green, Jim Miller, the first and only fighter to compete at UFC 100, 200, and 300, needs time to heal before his next fight.

Jim Miller’s in recovery mode. His UFC 300 fight with Bobby Green left him with a few injuries that need healing.

Miller’s got a unique record. He’s the only fighter to have competed at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. But this time, the New Jersey native didn’t get the win. He lost to Green in a unanimous decision.

The fight started well for Miller. He was strong in the opening round. But then Green upped his game. He started to really dish out the punishment as the fight went on.

By the third round, Miller was in a bad way. His face was a bloody mess from two cuts, one above and one below his right eye. He had to weather a late onslaught from Green to avoid a stoppage.

On Monday, Miller let us in on just how bad the damage was. He needed 23 stitches to close the wounds that Green had inflicted.

Miller’s Instagram post summed it up: “The struggle is real.” He revealed he broke his hand in the first round, and his toe. He added, “I guess I need some milk.”

Despite the loss, Miller was still upbeat. His record now stands at 5-2 in his last seven UFC appearances.

Miller’s a positive guy. He wrote, “I like to keep moving forward, regardless of the previous outcome. I can only affect the future challenges. Time to heal up and move on, but at the moment more importantly it’s garden season.”

Even in defeat, Miller’s still breaking records. He’s now had the most fights in UFC history (44). And once he’s healed up, he’ll be looking to add to his 26 wins – another all-time UFC record.
