UFC 303 Official: McGregor vs. Chandler with 7 Fights Booked

Conor McGregor is set to return to UFC 303 on June 29 against Michael Chandler, with seven total fights confirmed for the event, including a co-main event featuring former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill against Khalil Rountree Jr.

Well, folks, it’s happening. Conor McGregor is stepping back into the ring. The big return is set for UFC 303 on June 29. And guess where? None other than the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The card? It’s filling up fast, let me tell you.

The UFC dropped the news on Wednesday. Seven fights are confirmed for the event. So far, so good.

McGregor’s been out of the game for almost three years. Remember that nasty leg break against Dustin Poirier in 2021? Yeah, that one. It’s been a tough journey for the Irish superstar. But, he’s getting another shot at victory. His opponent? Michael Chandler. You might remember him from the recent season of The Ultimate Fighter. They finally booked the match in June.

Now, let’s talk co-main event. We’ve got former UFC light heavyweight champ, Jamahal Hill. He’s bouncing back from his loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 300. His opponent? Khalil Rountree Jr. This is a crucial 205-pound matchup. Rountree’s been on a roll with five straight wins. Four of those? Knockouts. His last victory was against Anthony Smith, a one-time title challenger.

If Rountree can take down a former champ like Hill, he might just get a shot at the title. Just saying.

Next up, we’ve got Mayra Bueno Silva and Macy Chiasson. They’re going head-to-head in a bantamweight bout. Silva’s looking to recover from a loss to Raquel Pennington. Chiasson? She’s after her second consecutive win after submitting Pannie Kianzad.

And let’s not forget the featherweights. Cub Swanson and Andre Fili are set to clash. With 11 post-fight bonuses between them, this should be a crowd-pleaser.

Joe Pyfer’s also back in action. He’s facing Canadian brawler Marc-Andre Barriault in a middleweight showdown. And in the strawweight division, we’ve got Michelle Waterson-Gomez against submission specialist Gillian Robertson.

Undefeated Rei Tsuruya‘s also on the card. He’s looking for his second straight octagon finish against Carlos Hernandez.

Tickets? They’re going on sale Friday, April 26. And keep your eyes peeled. More bouts are expected to be announced.
