UFC Event: Max Griffin vs Jeremiah Wells Scheduled for Feb 10

Max Griffin and Jeremiah Wells are set to face off in a welterweight match at the UFC event on February 10, with the location and venue yet to be announced.

Super Bowl weekend is about to get a lot more exciting. The UFC’s octagon is set to host a welterweight clash.

Sources in the know have spilled the beans to MMA Fighting. A face-off between Max Griffin and Jeremiah Wells is on the cards for the UFC event on Feb. 10. The exact location and venue? Well, that’s still under wraps.

Max Griffin, aka “Pain”, is no stranger to the promotional arena. This will be his 16th appearance. However, he’s keen to shake off the shadow of his decision loss to Michael Morales in July.

Griffin’s recent record is a mixed bag. He’s claimed victory in four of his last six fights. His wins include decisions over Carlos Condit and Tim Means, and knockouts against Song Kenan and Ramiz Brahimaj.

Jeremiah Wells is another one looking to bounce back. His first octagon loss came in August at the hands of Carlston Harris. But don’t write him off just yet. Before that setback, Wells was on a six-win streak, including four straight UFC victories.

The UFC’s Feb. 10 event isn’t just about Griffin and Wells, though. The headline act? A middleweight showdown between Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer.

By the way, props to Damon Martin. He helped put this report together.
