Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis sure did kick off UFC 300 with a bang. They clashed in the main event at UFC Vegas 90. It was no walk in the park, lemme tell ya.
Allen walked away with a split decision victory after 25 minutes of pure grit. This win extends his streak to seven. The last guy to beat him? Curtis. But that was before Allen went “All In” on his winning spree.
Allen started strong, no doubt. But Curtis wasn’t going down without a fight. He took control in the second and third rounds, keeping the fight standing. That’s where he shines. But Allen, oh boy, he dug deep in the championship rounds. Managed to scrape out a win against a very game Curtis.
The MMA community was all eyes and ears on this one. Fellow UFC fighters were full of praise for both men. Some even called this five-rounder the best fight of 2024. So far, at least.
