UFC Vegas 91 Bonuses: Four Fighters Earn Awards for Exciting Knockouts

UFC Vegas 91 saw Alex Perez, Bogdan Guskov, Jhonata Diniz, and Uros Medic each awarded $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for their knockout victories, with no Fight of the Night awarded.

Saturday night at the UFC APEX was a knockout. Yeah, it was UFC Vegas 91, and boy, did it deliver.

The main card? Jam-packed with thrilling finishes. The main event? A face-off between Alex Perez and Matheus Nicolau. Then there was the co-main event – Bogdan Guskov versus Ryan Spann.

Once the dust settled, Perez and Guskov walked away with $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses. But they weren’t alone. Jhonata Diniz and Uros Medic also bagged the same, thanks to their knockout victories over Austen Lane and Tim Means.

Oddly enough, no Fight of the Night was awarded this Saturday.

Perez? He ended the show with a bang. A one-shot knockout of Nicolau in a flyweight showdown. This win was a big deal for Perez, who was on a career-worst losing streak of three fights. But the former flyweight title challenger is no stranger to thrilling shows. He’s now pocketed three Performance of the Night bonuses during his UFC stint.

Guskov’s night was equally memorable. He scored the biggest win of his career, knocking out top 15-ranked light heavyweight Ryan Spann. The guy from Uzbekistan shook off a rough first round and finished Spann with strikes in Round 2.

The main card also saw Diniz making a smashing UFC debut. He clubbed Lane in the second round. And Medic? He took down welterweight veteran Means in just over two minutes.
